Poetry Corner VII: Unforgiving Light

Light breeds exposure
as secrets, have no shadows
to mask themselves.

Light judges, invades
Taking ownership over all that it sees

Rays of sunlight enter homes
even when uninvited

Light is cocky,
Flaunting itself as pure

Darkness keeps you hidden,
free from judgment
Darkness works in unison
while daylight is confused
by a chaos of colors

At the sign of darkness,
the sky lowers a cloak of silence,
A restful, peaceful calmness
